Firm Settles Product Defect Case with General Motors

The Anthony Law Firm recently settled a multi-year lawsuit involving an allegedly-defective product produced by General Motors.  The litigation centered on a spare tire which was released from beneath a GMC truck on Interstate 85.  In the accident that followed, the client was left quadriplegic.  On behalf of the client, the firm filed suit against General Motors as well as the part manufacturer.  In addition to the liability question, it was also necessary to address issues relating to the bankruptcy of General Motors through litigation in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.  The terms of the settlement are confidential.
